Full Week Of Work

Man... this was one long week... let me tell you.

I haven't had a full week's of work since... uh... maybe the second week of September.

With the weekly holidays and then one of my schools telling me I didn't have to show up for like two months... yeah... that kind of happens. I was averaging 3.5 working days/week... and I always had Wednesday off... which was very nice.

But, that was not the case this week. I originally thought I was going to have Wednesday off since that day's school had a school trip, but, all of a sudden this week's T TH F school was like... so, we'll see you tomorrow (on Tuesday). I was like... "Say wha...?!?"

The company confirmed the statement and I was like... okay... no biggie... I love that school. But, man... when I woke up Wednesday, I just rolled over and fell back to sleep. Only to wake up abruptly... 45 minutes after my alarm rang too... "Oh shit... I have to work today!!!!!"

Man, that threw off my sense of time and I thought it was Thursday that day and yesterday was Friday (since I never see that school on Wednesday).

I'm pooped right now... but, the good kind. Especially since I feel I had some good times with students and managed to learn a good... maybe 10 students' names. Doesn't sound like much... but, with 4 schools and so many students (with two of those schools being bi-weekly schools)... I usually average 1-3 new students' names/week... not to mention having to remember the ones I already learned. I just hope that at least half of the new students' names I learned sticks (seeing that I won't see that school again until the week after next).

Today was really a nice way to end the week too. I only had one class scheduled, so I originally thought it was going to be hell getting through the day with nothing to do... and of course, the class I had happened to be the first one... 0_o. Luckily, I watched two PE classes, and then my 1st year/some 2nd year JTE's asked me if I would be willing to join them for two classes. I was happy for the invite... it makes time fly when I'm teaching. After 5th period... I just sneaked to the gym where there is a piano. Since yesterday, I've been messing around with different songs and have managed to figure out how to play them by ear. These include "Where is thumper?" (the finger song), most of "Row, row, row your boat" (haven't figured out the merrily part), the first verse of "A Whole New World", "Oh When the Saints"... and some other ones I can't really think of. I know they are pretty easy songs... but, I'm not musically capable... so, I thought it was an awesome accomplishment. I even closed my eyes and was able to play "A Whole New World" and "Where is thumper?" with my eyes closed. So, maybe I can learn to play the piano afterall? We'll see what becomes of this.

Anyway... what was really awesome of today was how I joined the baseball club afterschool. It was raining, so they were inside doing various exercises or whatever. Two of the boys I have most bonded with where there... so, the three of us did different competitive things like cartwheels, handsprings, one-handed cartwheels, headstands, arm wrestling, squats, push-ups, sit-ups, squatting against the wall in a 90 degree angle sitting position, the Japanese game where you stand in front of each other and try to knock the other person off balance by pushing their hands or moving your hands out of the way they they try to push your hands, I came up with an alternative of that by having to push as hard as you could with your hands to knock each other off balance, we even sumo-ed. Man, it was all very fun and awesome. The two boys happen to be the most popular of the club... so, I managed to interact with the other students as well... since, if you cool with the popular dudes... you cool with everybody. It was all very fun... those two dudes... and the other kids too... are very interesting and funny. Maybe I'll join them more often now... especially since I haven't been succeeding in participating in the volleyball clubs in a while. I don't know... they kind of just don't acknowledge me much now... psssh... heh heh.

Anyway... yeah... that's it!
