I just took my first shower in six days...
I feel completely fresh and anew having washed all that filth and dirt off of my body... and even better... along with the filth and dirt... I feel as if I was able to wash away some of the stress and anxiety that has also built up these past six days.
This shower, for me... represents more than just refreshing my body and spirit.
This shower also represents hope... it's a sign and an opportunity to move forward... to move on beyond all that's happened and that has been happening.
A step right back into normalcy.
This shower has revitalized me... and though I hope everything else is settling down around me here in Japan... I do feel that I have new-found strength to take on the challenges that await me.
Today will be a good day... I just have to keep in mind how great this day has started off already!
Japan... everyone... keep holding on... don't lose hope... keep strong!
