Oh 2011... you'll be quite an unforgettable one.
Seriously, so many things happened this year... ranging from the extremely stressful, scary, bad and such to the good, awesome, amazing!
It might seem like it's been forever since the earthquake that struck in the beginning of the year... but, those scars are far from ever disappearing.
I remember so clearly how quickly the year was passing by... and then the earthquake happened. It pretty much stopped time and I felt as if I lost myself somewhere in that earthquake... like, it shook more than just the earth... it shook and destroyed the my very being.
And just like Japan... I was on a long road to recovery.
Luckily... I got to leave the country and go to Thailand for vacation like a month and a half after the earthquake... which marked the turn for the better.
Point is... this year had too much going on for it to be forgotten. And though there was a lot of good to try to somewhat counteract the bad... I'm mostly just glad that 2011 is in the past.
I now eagerly await for what's in store for me in 2012!

Everyday, I'm thankful that you were transferred from Ofunato. Everything happens for a reason and it's amazing to be able to connect the dots looking back. I hope 2012 sees the recovery process for everyone make even more progress!
