So Commences the Vlogging!

I just wanted to let people who follow my blog, or who happen to come across it (especially ALTs in Japan), that I have finally gone through with my idea of creating a vlog tutorial on being an elementary school ALT in Japan.

I've been really excited about this idea for quite some time, especially after receiving good feedback on a blog I did earlier this year: Elementary School ALT Survival Guide

I plan on covering many ideas and suggestions that have worked for me.

My main goal is to help both new and veteran ALTs alike.  I know that when I first started teaching in Japan, I was a bit antsy and not sure how to go about teaching or what were good activities to do.  Even now, nearing my fourth year as an ALT in Japan, I still come across good ideas and suggestions that I've seen others do and think to myself, "Well, that's hella awesome and useful... why didn't I ever think of that?"

So, just because you've been doing this for a while doesn't mean that you can't also benefit from my vlog.  In fact, I wouldn't mind getting feedback from others, that way I myself can improve and pick up some new tricks to add to my arsenal... heh heh...

But, yeah... I really wanted to give back and share my knowledge since, unfortunately, this will be my last year as an ALT in Japan.  So, not wanting all my awesomeness ideas/activities to go to waste, I hope that people can adapt them and begin to use them as well!

Oh, and on a side note, I mostly have experience teaching in elementary school.  But, I did originally start off teaching in junior highs.  Though, I learned that my better match was teaching elementary kids, I was able to adapt some of my activities/ideas from before to work better with elementary school students.  Just the same, I am highly confident that my suggestions and ideas in upcoming vlogs can help, not just elementary school ALTs, but also anybody teaching (English), in general!

So, please take a look at my vlog if you're interested, and help spread the word to anybody who's worried and/or looking for new tips and ideas to do.

Thanks!
