Well, welcome to all who are reading this--whether you be family, a friend, a student, a teacher, or simply put... someone who is bored enough to read the junk I write... heh heh.
I know I have tried this blogging/internet journal deal before, but... seeing that I'm heading to a new city, a new country, a new continent, a NEW LIFE!!!!!-- I figured trying this whole ordeal again wouldn't hurt. That and it'll give me something to do when I'm bored over in Japan as I wait for my human instincts of adapting to take place. How's that for some Psychology Degree put into action? But, yeah... it's mostly to kill boredom and keep all you people in my life up-to-date with my happenings and such. I just hope I'll actually have a means of keeping up with this when I'm actually in Japan... ( 0_o)
Anyway, for those interested, I have exactly... lets see... I leave on the 16th... so that means I have exactly 28 days and so and so hours before I board the plane that sends me to Tokyo, Japan. So, to put it into perspective... I have a leap-year-February left in good ol' Miami. Yeah, that doesn't really put things into perspective, but I like my random comparisons... heh heh...
In all seriousness though... that's a bit nerve-wracking. Mostly due to the fact that I still have a "list" of things to do that have yet to be tackled. In fact, I call it a "list" because it has not forgone the process of actually becoming a physical, concrete list.
So, how about we give this "list" a try... and transform it into a LIST.
Here goes:
1) Create and complete a list <----- Yup... writing this list is on the List... \o/
2) Get a Power of Attorney document (I actually started with this)
3) Sell car - Any takers or interested party feel free to get to me about this.
4) Get TB Shots (actually, find somewhere to get shots for cheap and with no insurance first... ::sigh::)
5) Buy/acquire business clothing
6) Buy/acquire winter clothing
7) Figure out as much as humanly possible about Iwate... a.k.a. - My new home
8) Brush up on my 日本語 (nihongo) <--- that'd be Japanese for... well, Japanese
9) Make sure to add to this List --whatever else I can think of whenever it comes me... hmmm... I just made this an indefinite list... which means, #1 of this list will probably never be accomplished. Yup... I was never good at completing lists.
Additions to List:
10) Buy/acquire electric outlet converter... if I need one according to Gabie...
11) Buy/acquire wireless internet thingy Christian took when we were in Japan
12) Acquire lots and lots of MONEY!
13) Buy/acquire as much American products as possible... i.e., deodorant, medicine, toothbrush, toothpaste, etc.
14) Buy/acquire clippers
15) Cancel LA Fitness Membership, Car Insurance, Cell Phone
Now that that's taken care of... for the most part at least... I hope that the stress can begin to diminish.
That should suffice for a first/introductory entry... またね~ (matane~)! <--- Japanese for later!
