Busy Wednesday

Today started off slow, seeing that I woke up at almost 11. However, I did manage to eventually get off the internet and headed out to do some errands.

Well, actually... my only real errand was to pay my phone bill, the rest of the day was spent buying stuff with my first pay check... heh heh.

First I headed to an electronic store to see the prices of a wireless router and a microwave. I decided on a router and figured I'd leave the microwave for next month, it's not that essential right now. I feel like I can still live on eating cold food or heating it up quickly on the stove.

After that I did some grocery shopping. Not much to report there.

I then continued to a shoe store where I had seen some real cool Puma's that I wanted. But, yeah... it's a little hard to find shoes my size. The display shoe seemed like it could be my size... but, that's because the shoe strings weren't on. Regardless... I didn't see that size where the shoes actually were.

I then stumbled across some real nice Adidas that were on sale. I was really interested in the black ones, but they had the same shoe in red that I was also interested in. That's when I realized that what I previously thought was my size... was actually a bit too small. I had tried on the black shoes and it was too snug without even being tied. I then asked a dude working there if they had the next size up... and he said he'd have to check. I guess my Japanese must've been really well because he came back speaking Japanese like crazy... 0_o. Surprisingly though... I got some of it; he said that they didn't have the shoes at the store but another store might have the red ones and something about my name... but, that's about it. He then added some more stuff and that's when I was like... yeah... I understood a little bit of it. He broke it down more slowly and drew a quick little diagram to make sure I understood, and when I said I did, I gave him my name and number... so, hopefully I can get them within 3-5 days. Though, I really wish I could get them in black too... ::sigh::

After that, I ventured around to look at clothes at a department store... but, that turned out unsuccessful. I then went to another store to check out clothes since I actually had money. I found this cool zip-up sweater thing and got a beanie that should look cool with it. I also found these cool pants, but, I was unsure of what my size would be. I tried on the biggest size I saw... knowing how hard it is to get Japanese clothes in my size is... and was surprised by the outcome.

Well, first off, it was a bit of a mission to get them past my legs. They weren't skinny jeans, but, man... with my killer calves and thunder thighs... it was a slow process. It did fit okay, but... I'm not used to seeing the definition of my legs through jeans. Don't get me wrong... I liked the way it looked since I'm all about my legs... but, I got a picture of me "Hulking" through the jeans if I did a quick movement that required a lot of leg muscle.

Also, the jeans buttoned up without much of a problem... which I was surprised. It wasn't my exact size... but, I didn't have to like suck in my stomach or anything like that. However, there was a bigger reason as to why I didn't buy them. The rippling leg definition through the jeans and the 1/2 size smaller wasn't really the problem. Though I could button up my jeans... I couldn't zip them...

...

... mostly because my junk was hanging out... like way out. I'm not trying to imply I'm like a horse now... but... yeah... there was no way I was going to be able to zip up the pants. Man, how can the Japanese wear pants like that... jeeebuz. I found it quite funny and felt like a picture should've been taken... but, that might be inappropriate and I didn't have my camera anyway. Yeah... unfortunately I couldn't buy the cool pants... and they were pretty cheap too.

Maybe I'll be able to try the same store in the next town tomorrow after school. They might have a broader range of sizes.

Anyway, after that... I went to another store where I managed to buy some weights and this elastic cord thing. I haven't been successful at finding a gym... so, this will have to do for now.

Right now, the rice just finished, so I should begin cooking my chicken. It smells good with all the vegetables and spices already... and it's not even cooked yet... so, needless to say, I'm very excited about dinner tonight... heh heh.

Later!
