December and How Students Show They're Cool With Me

So December has officially started today (and for you guys back home... it has started too... heh heh). I'm really excited!

It also looks like I asked for the wrong day off last week. I'm planning on travelling to Kyoto on the 19th hopefully (way until the 8th hopefully), so, I asked for one day off since I was working one extra day than I expected. Well, it turns out I asked for a holiday off... 0_o

I was supposed to ask for the day before off, got them confused. Well, then come today, I found out that even though I'm scheduled to work, I'm not actually working at the school that day... meaning that it's considered a "Preparation Day"... or, how I like to call it... a day off... heh heh.

Things apparently worked out in an unexpected way. The company called my school today saying they didn't receive my documentation that we need to turn in at the end of the month last Friday (though I did sent it). But, like I said, it worked out for me since that was when I turned in the paper documentation for my requested day off... which means they didn't receive it... which means I didn't turn it in again... which means... I'm not asking for an unnecessary day off and unnecessary loss of a day's pay... \o/

Anyway... today was such a nice day. It wasn't cold cold... it was nice and... maybe even warm. But, that nice warmth where the sun's heat doesn't make you hot and just soothes you. There were no clouds in the sky either... so, it was overall very nice.

Oh, and my students seem to be getting very close to me... which is really cool! But, it does bring about more ackward moments (in case you guys recall the whole "Victor, how big is your penis?" question). Well, as of lately, some not as ackward statements (though still a bit 0_o if you catch my drift) include "Victor Victor Victor... big!" (while making pointing/humping motions)... "Victor what color are your briefs?"... "Victor, can you show us your briefs?"... of which I responded with "why?"... only to get... "I think it's interesting."

::shrugs::

It doesn't really bother me, since I'm beginning to realize that students (boys specifically) are more open about things like this than what I'm used to... not to say that that means they're interested in such things for... uh... ackward reasons... heh heh. That's just how they joke around with each other and me... and we usually laugh when such things are said. If anything, I take it as them being very comfortable and open with me since they joke and say things they would do with their friends... and in English to boot too!

Well, I guess I don't really have much to say other than that. Laterness.
