Just did about an hour and a half of Japanese studying.
I think my confidence just decreased some... ( ^_^) ----> ( _ _)
The study book I was doing for the N4 JLPT was harder than I anticipated. The vocabulary section dealing with kanji and meanings of words are usually my specialty... and I did worse than I was expecting to.
That worries me... since, that section was a breeze for me last year. Then, the section that I dreaded, grammar, was what gave me trouble. But, if vocabulary is this difficult for me... I don't even want to think what kind of trouble the grammar will bring me this time.
I have to keep optimistic though... I still have time to get some studying in... and, if I remember from last year... doing the study book and practice tests was harder than when I actually took the test... so, I have to not let it get to me and retain as much of my confidence as possible.
Just got to put it aside for now and let my confidence regenerate itself... then go back and tackle some more studying.
At least I'm actually getting productive studying done this time around.
