I sense this will be a long one... so, here goes. Oh, and Christian... I did the Day __ thing you wanted me to do... we'll see how long that lasts... heh heh.
To start off... today was Hitachi Branch's (my branch) last day of training. As of 9 AM... which will be like in 9 hours for me... I'll be on a train on my way to Ofunato, Iwate, Japan. I'll arrive in Ofunato around 5 PM... or more specifically (since Japanese train systems tend to be very punctual), 4:57 PM. From there I'll be walking to my hotel for the night and will move into my apartment on the 26th.
Yay I got an apartment... boo it's more expensive than I thought... yay it's also a whole lot bigger than I expected... boo it's not furnished... yay it's a fairly new (2 years old if I recall correctly) apartment... boo it somehow has a septic tank instead of sewage plumbing.
^I could go on like that some more... but, it's not going to change anything, so I'll deal... for now. If anything, I'm only going to rant about apartment stuff in the upcoming months... so, don't want to delve too much into it.
Besides... this entry's ranting will focus primarily on my apartment's rent. So, yeah...
I've about 100,000+ Yen on me... the equivalent for about $1000+... to last me until I get paid. To actually have the apartment fees and rent settled, I have to pay 224,400 Yen ($2244-ish). This all includes first month plus last month plus insurance and parking fee. If your math is well... actually, not even... if you have good eyes... you should see that that does not come near to equaling what I have.
Step 1... get the loan settled.
That took a long enough process with figuring out how much and the interest and this and that... so, I won't bore you with that. Since it'll be complicated to get two separate loans (the max I coudl get was 250,000 Yen... but, I'm using the loan to cover my apartment which is 25,600 Yen short of that. So, instead of making two loans and complicating stuff... I just go with the cost of the apartment.
Step 2... going over contact information/regulations for apartment.
Everything runs pretty smoothly until I realize that I already have to pay October's rent in the end of September... not that big of a deal. But, then at the end of October I have to pay November's rent... and that's before I get my pay check. So, if I have to pay 53,000 Yen monthly... then by October I have to pay 106,000 Yen. Yeah... that again is more than I have on me. And that doesn't include having to pay to furnish my apartment. So, after I go over explaining that... do they realize... oh, yeah...
They managed to figure to figure something out. So... I will be moving into my apartment without a problem... the money deal will be figured out... ::shrugs::
After that... everything pretty much went on smoothly. I was the last person... but, hey... it was done.
After the stress of apartments... I figured I should get out to eat. Bumped into three guys and decided to tag along with them. Somehow... that group of three became a group of nine. We stopped at a らめん (ramen... noodles) store. Had some らめん... more specifically チューショめん chuushomen) pork noodles. It was really good! After that we took it to a Karaoke Bar until like 11:15... so, that was fun.
And I took my camera!
Anyway... now I'm sleepy and keep nodding off. So, if something does't make sense... it's because I fall asleep every once in a while.
Well, I think I'll bid farewell for a while. I'm tired and need to get up early. Don't know when I'll be getting internet in my apartment... so, guess we'll have to see how things go. I'm most likely just type a physical entry in my notebook and then transfer it here when I get the time.
Later for now er'body!
... and remember... I nodded off a good amont of times and manage to catch like 5 or more mistakes... so, if something doesn't make sense... sorry...
Anyway... night!

I got lost in the numbers but based on the amount you told me you took..I can see your problem.. Anyway, when you say you ran into three guys, are you talking about guys from interac that are in Iwate with you? or just other gaijin? either way, that's cool..
Post pics! =)
CDO much with the spell check? So yea, that's a SHIT load of money you have to pay, but you have graduated and you shouldn't be getting paid what us nongrads get. I hope you get internet..especially WIFI! We must battle! LOL..Holler for a Dollar

In Soviet Russia, apartment rents you!
Jenny-
Don't worry... I still get lost with the numbers too. Everytime I turn around there's like a new fee or payment.
Oh, and I ran to three trainee guys... people I knew but not "know know." We then met up with more trainees and the 9 of us had lot of fun together.
Gabie-
It wasn't necessarily spell check corrections... it was me nodding off but still typing some nonsense that... well... didn't make sense at all.
I won't be getting wireless for a while... I can definitely say that. I need to first figure out how to survive until October... heh heh... and no... YOU HOLLER FOR $5!!!!! I'M BROKE...
Steph-
