Trip Overview and Arrival

Saturday, August 16, 5:43 AM - Miami International Airport

Just here waiting for my boarding time. Said bye to firends over an hour ago. I'll admit that it wasn't as bad as I expected, but that is mostly because I found it a bit unreal. I guess it's because I won't really believe I'm in Japan until I'm actually walking at Narita Airport.

Arrived at teh airport and did what had to be done... then proceeded to the checkpoint and said bye to my younger bro and Flaco. Moved on to my mom and I guess that's when a bit of unrealness became reality... I'm really going to miss my mom.

Well... in the plane now. Was looking at pictures that were taken tonight... yup, guess the emotions that should've been felt when saying bye to my friends are slowly creeping up on me. Sorry if I might have appeared indifferent about me leaving... it's all about being like a Supreme Being like Leelu Dallas... heh heh. Being built to protect and not knowing love and suck... I keed... I do love you all and will miss you all tremendously. Well... on to Houston!

Saturday, August 16, 9:20 AM - Houston-Bush International Airport (Miami Time +1 hour)

Arrived okay. Flight was whatever... nodded off, woke up... nodded off, woke up... that kind of stuff. But, yeah... the biggie flight is coming up next. Well, just here... waiting to board the plane. Got some food... $12. Yup, that's airport food for you. But, such a nice thing happened. The couple in line ahead of me had vouchers and they gave it to me since they were going to go to waste. So, yeah... only paid $2. That was such an awesome thing that happened. Anyway... getting ready to board... so yeah... on to Tokyo!

Sunday, August 17, 11:19 PM - Narita View Hotel (Miami Time + 13 hours)

Well, in case you didn't notice... I did type everything now... but, I was writing stuff in a notebook I took so that I could write it when I had the chance... that being now.

Well, the flight is obviously over. Not so bad... looking back at it. Mostly cause I had the window seat and was able to get a more comfortable sleeping position than the girl next to me or the dude in the aisle. I had a whole wall to lean against... SCORE!

Highlight of the Flight - Getting a little half of cup thing of Haagen Daz Vanilla Ice Cream. That was so unexpected and it came when I was very thirsty... so, surprisingly it helped a lot. I ate it with the brownie I had saved from our first meal given... but, yeah... wasn't as good as I had anticipated so just quickly ate that and covered the after taste with ice cream... heh heh.

Lowlight of the Flight (is that the opposite of highlight... I don't even know?????) - Someone or several ones were in need of deodorant and a good brushing of their teeth. I showered before departing so I was pretty fresh still... and I had my toothbrush and toothpaste so that helped me out... but man... everyone once in a while I caught a not so good whiff of someone's BO and mouth funk.

But, whatever... I survived and that's all that matters. Arrived around 2:30 and had a little mission of trying to figure out where the meeting area was. First had to figure out what terminal I was in and decided to just assume it was Terminal 1. So, knowing that in Terminal 1 we were to meet at the South Wing... I looked at a map and went in the direction of the South Wing... or so I thought. Yup, ended up in the North Wing and realized I had to go all the way back. And it was hella stuffy in there too. But, yeah... found the area and met some fellow Interac-ans and got to here this hotel.

Jetlag/fatigue hit me a bit earlier when I was reading documentation we were supposed to read. I had a nice drool puddle on my arm... you know you rested well if you have a drool puddle. Haven't had one of those in a while. However... I think I was snoring and cause of the drool puddle it was probably a weird wet-sounding snore... I don't know. As I realized what had happened... I think the noise in a dream I was having was more like a snore... so, it's hard to figure out exactly what happened. It wouldn't matter and I wouldn't have cared had my hotel roommate not been less than 5 feet away in his bed. Oh man... I really hope it was just a paranoia thing and not reality... but, hey, nothing I can do about it now.

Anyway... yeah... I'm here in Japan and I begin training tomorrow. So off to bed I go.

Night... or, actually... good morning to you all!

Yay! I'm so glad you made it! You left right on time because there is a "Tropical Storm" everyone is freaking out about. You gave us too much info about the whole drool puddle, but that's ok! BTW, I didn't think you were indifferent when you said goodbye to me :o) I wanna know how the Training goes!

Ps- South in Kanji looks a lot like my tattoo...but the sides extend down = 南 <--see FUN FACT

Star Date: 081808 2daysAV(After Victor)

It's cold and lonely here. Maybe because the AC is on and I am alone, or more likely because Victor is now gone. Ever since Victor went to the future, armageddon is slowly upon us. The thought of his absence casted a depression on us all and now that he's gone it has turned to a tropical storm Fay. It's all your fault, Victor. Come back or I will find you. God save us all. Marc... out.

Christian-

Yeah, that's exactly where I got the idea from. I'm probably going to be doing the same thing in the upcoming weeks since I don't know when I'll get internet in my apartment.
