I've had multiple times/stuff that I've wanted to blog about, but this week has just been too hectic (but in a good way) for me to actually have the time to sit down and write about shit.
Well... when I do have time... I passed out on the computer... no lie... most of this week's nights ended with me next to my computer passed the fuck out... heh heh. And the reason for that is due to the fact that this week has been a combination of a lot to do and being sick.
First on being sick. I passed out on Sunday while using the computer... only to wake up with a sore throat. I tried taking my Colombian medicinal tea... but, it was already too late and it did not go away by Monday morning. It wasn't that bad though... and I didn't have any other symptoms, so I just drank tea and more of my Colombian medicinal tea to ease the sore throat. But, I did have that drained in the morning feeling when you're sick. Problem is... due to the many exams approaching, if I'm sick... the schools might send me home for a minimal of 5 days... NO PAY! And being a member of the broke phi broke department... I wasn't all about being sent home. When a teacher at my school asked if I was alright... I would just say yes and that I was really tired from an exciting weekend (which, wasn't all a lie in all honesty). However, come Tuesday... I actually felt really really really drained and was not able to deny to myself that I was sick. I bought and took anything that said Vitamin C and OD-ed on it as well as continued my tea drinking. Usually I could fake being energetic well I'm tired, but there was no faking being drained of all energy that morning. I actually went to the bathroom at school to try and smile and see if I looked tired and sick... and, as much as I would smile... my eyes betrayed me. So, I came up with the excuse that I had slept really late talking to friends online and that I was stupid every opportunity I had. They seemed to buy it... and I wasn't coughing or sneezing... so, I don't feel bad about lying about not being sick since I really didn't see how I could be infectuous. By this morning though... all the Vitamin C paid off and I doubt I'm sick anymore... \o/ for OD-ing of Vitamins!
So... now back for the reason I've been active.
Last weekend, I made my way to a friend's place in Hanamaki. I met his friend and we chilled for the night... was pretty cool. The next morning, we made our way up to Morioka since there was a snow festival nearby. It was a lot of fun! I was seriously jumping up and down like a little kid and was trying to do everything on impulse.
Example (nearly verbatim):
"Oooooooo! Look at the snow... hey, they're sliding down on sleds... where can we get sleds... I wanna slide down too... hey, those kids are cute... and they have sleds! Maybe we can jack their sleds... hey there are horses over there... AND A SNOWMOBILE! You thick we can ride snowmobiles? Wait... it's only pulling those rafts behind them... BUT, WOW THAT LOOKS LIKE A LOT OF FUN... LETS GO DO THAT NOW!!!!! It smells food, lets get something to eat... HEY, I SEE THE SNOW STRUCTURES!!!!!!!!!!!!"
Yeah... good thing I wasn't the only one... heh heh.
We did a lot... including riding the Snow Train (the snowmobile pulling the rafts), eating some great food, taking a million pictures, eating dinner in an igloo, snowball fighting, building a snowman, watching fireworks and I don't know what else.
After that, we made our way back to Morioka to drink and capsuled hoteled for the night. I fell asleep in my comfortable capsule immediately. Next day I just chilled with my friends for a bit before making it back to Ofunato.
Then, since Wednesday was a holiday and I didn't have to work, I made my way back to Hanamaki on Tuesday night. Hung out with my friends again that night. The next day was a pretty busy one with much to do.
We went to the Wanko Soba eating competition, then headed to Taroshi Daki which is like a frozen, mini-"waterfall" of some sorts. It was amazing and the scenery was beautiful. There was a lot of snow and in some parts... my legs sank in the snow til almost my knee. It was awesome! After that, we made our way back to the competition before heading to my friend's IC's temple. I had met her on 3 different occassions already and has been extremely nice to my friend and me. She was having a group of kids hang out and learn a bit of English, and wanted us to help her out. Since we wanted to repay her for all she's done, we agreed... not that we wouldn't since playing and hanging out with little kids is so much fun.
They were all extremely cute. During a Q&A segment... the kids would come to us and ask us a question. I guess I ended up being the popular one since they made a bunch of little origami as presents... and well... I pretty much got almost all of them. Must be since I'm like a big kid myself and they tend to gravitate to me... heh heh. We then had some snacks and talked before the IC invited us to her temple/house and made us dinner. It was an incredible/fun ending to an awesome day. But, had to leave since, yeah... Hanamaki is not one town over from Ofunato and it was already late.
Left Hanamaki at 10:30... which, basically means there was nobody on the road. I took advantage of this and sped like crazy. I was making awesome time and would've made it to Ofunato in less than an 1 hour and a half... had I not somehow missed one of my turns. But, luckily I knew my way around enough to BS making it back on track. I did make it home in about an hour and a half... but, had I not gone a long way off track... I would've made it so much earlier. It usually takes about 2 hours + to make that drive.
Anyway... with all those activities and being sick and having fun at work like crazy... I've been pretty drained.
I'm just going to take this upcoming weekend to slack off and get some much needed Z's... laterness yo!
