What A Day

Let's see... the day first started off early in the morning. It was freezing cold (please be aware that Japanese apartments have poor insulation, thus... without using any cooling devices such AC's or fans, it was freezing because it became freezing outside). I couldn't sleep from the coldness, so, I had no other choice than to get up and search for other blankets and stuff to use. Even then, it took like 20 minutes for me to warm up under the three layers of blankets... so, not a good way to start off a day.

When I was supposed to actually wake up, I couldn't force myself out from under the warmth and comfort my three blankets provided.

Where did fall go?

I recall writing about how the summer heat was slowly leaving... and now, like in a matter of days, it seems to have become winter.

I don't mind winter... I'm just not ready for it now.

Then, to add to the coldness, it began to rain during the day... only dropping the temperature more. I'm surprised it wasn't snowing... it was so cold.

Since it wasn't raining when I left my apartment in the morning, I didn't take my rain gear. My librarian, therefore, lent me a medium sized poncho... which, I ended up ripping while returning home.

Note to self: Replace said poncho.

Then, my only class today... first graders.

How cute they are... yet, how crazy they can be when their teacher is absent. I had to take charge of the class and those cute, little demons were out of control. Actually... more like two cute little demons were out of control... thus causing other kids to get a bit riled up. I wanted to hug them soooooo tightly and while smiling... squeeze them harder and harder and harder until they passed out.

Hmmmm... too much?

But, seriously... they needed some serious disciplining... which I'm not allowed to do.

So, as my Halloween themed class finally ends, a kid has a tantrum since he learned he wasn't a winner and wasn't getting a Halloween sticker. And by tantrum... I mean take it out on me by punching and kicking me while crying. I just ignored him, using my behavioral psychology background into account... but, then the teacher that was going to be in charge next started comforting him... thus, there went my lesson on learning how to accept losing and not being a sore loser.

I have definitely decided... I want to NOT be an elementary school teacher... or, at the very least... not a 1st-3rd grade teacher... heh heh.

So, yeah... quite the day to have during quite a week... a week that I'm barely surviving.

Monday - Kindergarten, Elementary, Company English Class Part-time... 9AM-8PM day.
Tuesday - Elementary, Japanese Class... 9AM-9PM day.
Wednesday - Elementary, Company English Class Part-time... 9AM-8PM day.
Today - Elementary, 4 Kids' English Lesson... 9AM-7PM day.
Tomorrow - JUST Elementary

I haven't had back-to-back evenings like this ever... I'm not cut out for these type of work days... heh heh...

Dude thats an insane work week! I mean, is it like this until winter break and then you have a completely different schedule? I'm really sorry to hear that man. Try to get as much sleep as you can, to keep yourself from burning out. Weekends must seem like an oasis of relief, huh?

It's kind of my schedule is going to be... at least until the end of November.
