Tap Into Your Fountain of Inspiration

I'm amazed at how easily writing poetry has become. I can't believe that something as simple as taking a walk for about 40 minutes while listening to music... can inspire me to come up with different possibilities and themes for poems.

I've really tapped into some sort of reservoir of creativity... that, at least so far... knows no limits.

I slip into this bubble of peace and quietness. It's funny really... cause, in reality... my apartment... my room... that's more quiet than when I go out for a walk.

But, I can't focus in my apartment. There apparently are too many distractions, no matter how quiet it actually is.

Yet, out in the bustling loud world... were cars are zooming past, bugs are being heard, lights are flashing on and off, and all while listening to music... I manage to actually find this inner peace and quiet that allows me to focus in a way that I don't think I ever have been able to achieve.

In fact... I somehow go on auto-pilot. I don't even realize I'm walking... nor the fact that I'm somehow avoiding oncoming bicycles and cars trying to cross the path in front of me. I somehow time my walking to catch the green lights and avoid being stuck waiting for the light to change. It's as if... if I stop my movement... all creativity stops. I will break the flow and lose all the concentration I had... lose the thoughts I had continuously flowing... snap out of this trance all together.

::shrugs::

I can't explain it I guess... though... I really just did... heh heh. I still find it inexplicable though.

By the end of my walks... I have managed about 2 or 3 new poems.

I really am amazed... and, maybe I'm biased... I know I said I wasn't quite a poet... but, I like what I come up with.

In a way... I guess this is my subconscious self's way of communicating with my conscious self. I've begun to realize some of my emotions, feelings, hopes... and so on... through these poems.

I just hope I continue with this... exercising body, heart, and mind!
